Le Grand Prix de Taekwondo amène une compétition de taekwondo réaliste sur Steam

We don’t get realistic fighting games on home consoles or PC very often, if at all. It’s tough to remember the last time a realistic fighting game came out besides the EA Sports UFC games. Well, Hello There Games wants to change the negative stigma centered around realistic fighting games, which is why they released Grand prix de taekwondo on Steam for PC.

The game is available right now for only $9.99, but during the first week of being on sale you can get it for 25% off for only $7.49. It originally came out on October 9th, but given that many top gaming websites don’t actually cover video games anymore, it’s an easy game to have missed during its initial release.

The title is themed around one-on-one fights within a 2D plane that relies on real-world taekwondo techniques, rules, and competition regulations. You can get a glimpse of what the fighting is like with the launch trailer below.

The game allows you to take control of various taekwondo practitioners from different parts of the world, as they come together to compete against one another using only taekwondo techniques.

In a way, it reminds me of a 3D, less-brutal version of Karate Master 2: Knock Down Blow, which is a strangely addictive and competently made hand-animated fighting game.

Dans le cas d' Grand prix de taekwondo, the game features both online and local multiplayer options for one or two players, along with official rules and scoring from real-life taekwondo tournaments, and a variety of environments from around the globe themed around competitive arenas. Even more surprising than that is that the game is actually officially endorsed by World Taekwondo.

Hello There Games is already looking to dabble into the e-sports sector with Grand prix de taekwondo by opening up registration that will run concurrently with the World Taekwondo GP Manchester 2018 event set to take place between October 19th and October 21st.

The reviews are generally positive but many criticize it for the obvious lack of an online community, and thus the lack of being able to rank up effectively through online play.

Hopefully Hello There Games offers a decent alternative for those who would rather play offline or through the local multiplayer instead.
